The Ampurdan painter Salvador Dalí left a large footprint in the territory. The main legacy of the painter is to be found in the so-called Dalí triangle.
The Theatre Museum in Figueres hosts a great collection of Surrealist works, as well as the collection of Dalí-Jewels. In the “House Museum Salvador Dalí” in Portlligat (Cadaqués), you’ll find what was his home workshop, with furniture and personal belongings of the artist. The third area is the “Casa Museo Castillo Gala Dalí”, Púbol, in the municipality of La Pera, which Dalí gave to his muse and where she is buried.
